Salman Khan Sends Legal Notice To Makers Of Kala Hiran Over Film Based On Blackbuck Poaching Case

Salman Khan has reportedly initiated legal action against the makers of the upcoming film Kala Hiran: The Battle For Legacy, a project said to be inspired by the actor's controversial blackbuck poaching case. The development comes just days after the makers unveiled the first-look poster of the film and announced that its teaser would be released on June 20.

According to reports, Salman Khan's legal team has sent a formal notice to the film's producers and director, demanding that the release of the film be stopped. The notice also reportedly seeks the removal of promotional material related to the project, alleging that the film is based on the actor's long-running legal battle connected to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case and could potentially harm his reputation.

The film, titled Kala Hiran: The Battle For Legacy, was recently announced by producer Amit Jani. The makers have claimed that the movie recreates the events surrounding the 1998 blackbuck hunting case in Rajasthan and also explores the much-publicised rivalry between Salman Khan and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The project has already attracted significant attention due to its controversial subject matter.

Earlier, while announcing the film, the producers stated that it would depict the courtroom proceedings, crime-thriller elements, investigation, and developments linked to the case. The movie has reportedly been shot across several locations in Uttar Pradesh, including Sambhal and Moradabad. The makers had also revealed plans to release the film's first teaser on June 20.

The blackbuck case dates back to 1998, when Salman Khan was accused of hunting protected blackbucks near Jodhpur during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain. The case has remained one of the most widely discussed legal matters involving the actor and continues to attract public attention even decades later.

With Salman Khan's legal team now stepping in, the future of Kala Hiran remains uncertain. Whether the film's release proceeds as planned or faces legal hurdles will likely depend on the outcome of the ongoing dispute between the actor's representatives and the filmmakers.
